All articles in JMCHS are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may copy, distribute, adapt and reuse the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided the original authors and source are credited, a link to the licence is given, and any changes are indicated.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their work. On acceptance, authors grant Corvus Medical Press a non-exclusive licence to publish the article, to identify itself as the original publisher, and to distribute it to indexing and preservation services. Authors may reuse their article in any way, including in theses, books, teaching materials and repositories, with a citation of the original publication.

Third-party material

Authors must obtain permission to reproduce material owned by others (figures, maps, validated scales) and state the source and licence in the caption. Such material may not be covered by the article’s CC BY licence.

Display

The licence and copyright line appear on every article page and PDF, for example: ‘© 2026 The Author(s). Published by Corvus Medical Press. This is an open access article under the CC BY 4.0 licence.’

Open Access Policy

JMCHS is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription, registration or embargo.

In line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative, users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking prior permission from the publisher or author, provided the original work is properly cited under the CC BY 4.0 licence.

•     JMCHS is not a hybrid journal; there is no subscription content.

•     Articles In-Press, final versions, corrections and retraction notices are all open access.

•     Full text is available in HTML and PDF with machine-readable metadata.
